Food Production Operative – Welshpool

• Location – Welshpool
• Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
• Working Hours: 6:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 10:00pm
• Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Food Production Operative to join a busy operation in Welshpool. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team and contributing to a fast-paced food production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and production of food products in line with site procedures.
• Packing and labelling finished products accurately and efficiently.
• Checking products to ensure they meet required quality standards.
• Following food hygiene procedures and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ensuring work areas, equipment and production surfaces are kept clean and tidy.
• Handling food products and materials carefully to minimise waste and prevent contamination.
• Following health and safety procedures and safe working practices at all times.
• Monitoring products during production and reporting any quality concerns or issues an appropriate person.
• Working alongside colleagues to ensure production targets and deadlines are met.
• Following instructions from supervisors and supporting the smooth running of daily production activities.
• Reporting damaged equipment, potential hazards or any food safety concerns promptly.

Experience and Qualifications

• Previous experience in food production, food processing, packing or manufacturing would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and food safety procedures would be beneficial.
• Relevant food hygiene training or qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
