Agricultural Packing Operative – Carno

• Location: Carno
• Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
• Working Hours: Rotating shift pattern 10:00am – 6:00pm / 2:00pm – 10:00pm
• Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an Agricultural Packing Operative to join a busy operation in Carno. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, working as part of a team and contributing to a fast-paced packing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Sorting and grading agricultural produce in line with quality standards.
• Packing agricultural products accurately and efficiently.
• Checking products for quality, damage and suitability before packing.
• Ensuring packed products meet the required specifications.
• Moving products, packaging materials and stock around the work area as required.
• Labelling and preparing packed goods for storage or delivery where necessary.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working area throughout the working day.
• Following site procedures, health and safety guidelines and relevant hygiene requirements.
• Handling products carefully to minimise damage and waste.
• Working alongside colleagues to ensure daily packing targets and deadlines are met.
• Reporting damaged products, equipment issues or any concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Following instructions from supervisors and supporting the smooth running of day-to-day packing operations.

Experience and Qualifications

• Previous experience in agricultural packing, food production, warehousing or a similar environment would be an advantage.
• Experience sorting, grading or packing produce would be beneficial.
• An understanding of quality control and safe product handling would be useful.
• Previous Forklift Truck (FLT) experience would be desirable but is not essential.
