NursLink is recruiting a Retirement Living Assistant to support customers at Thomas Merriman Court, a retirement living scheme in Newbury, Berkshire. This role is ideal for someone with a customer service, housing, or care/support background who enjoys working with older adults and helping communities run smoothly.

Hours: 2 days per week – 15 hours per week (flexible days/hours available)

Pay Rate: £13.17 per hour

DBS: Enhanced DBS – Adults workforce

Parking: Small on-site parking available

Lone Working: Yes (supported by lone working app)
About the Role:
As a Retirement Living Assistant, you’ll be a key point of contact for residents, providing support, reassurance, and practical help. Your responsibilities will include:

Dealing with customers and recording all interactions accurately

Signposting residents to other agencies and support services

Raising and escalating communal and individual repairs
-
Carrying out regular Health & Safety checks
-
Monitoring systems related to customer welfare and wellbeing
-
Supporting the scheme with general housing and customer service duties
Training & Support:

Full on-site induction and training provided
-
Shadowing colleagues in another scheme before working independently
-
Site-specific Health & Safety training included
Who You Are:
-
Experienced in customer service, housing, care, or support roles
-
Confident dealing with residents and external agencies
-
Knowledgeable in Health & Safety and safeguarding adults

Comfortable with lone working and using digital systems
-
Passionate about supporting older people to live independently
