Accounts Assistant

Exciting opportunity to join an expanding NI business based in east Belfast as part of their Finance team as their new Accounts Assistant / Accounts Technician offering an excellent package, 40 days holidays plus more!

Reporting to the Financial Director and within a dedicated finance team you will;

• Support accurate, timely financial reporting across the Group
• Complete bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate customer and supplier ledgers
• Assist with monthly management accounts and supporting analysis
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and flag issues promptly
• Prepare accurate VAT returns for review
• Maintain fixed asset registers, including additions, disposals and depreciation
• Process and monitor transactions across UK and Irish entities
• Support month-end reporting deadlines
• Maintain accurate records in line with company procedures
• Provide finance administration and wider team support

What we are looking for…

• Experienced in an Accounts Assistant / Technician / Bookkeeper or similar with confident knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial processes
• Experience of reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
• Sound level of IT literacy, ideally with Sage
• Part-qualified accounting qualification, IATI qualification or equivalent is desirable as would be experience of assisting with management accounts and VAT returns.
