Audit Manager:

Job Title: External Auditor – Education Sector Division

Location: Hybrid (1-2 days per week in the office – Coventry, Leamington Spa, or Birmingham)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced External Auditor to join a dynamic and growing accountancy firm, as part of a new division focused on the Education Sector. This division caters to schools, colleges, and academies, offering the chance to shape and lead a team delivering exceptional audit services.  We are happy to consider people at Manager and Senior Manager level.

As an External Auditor, you will be instrumental in driving the development of this new division, ensuring high-quality audit delivery, fostering strong client relationships, and contributing to business growth. If you’re passionate about the education sector and want to play a key role in the evolution of this exciting new venture, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Development: Lead and manage the growth of the education sector division. Build a team that shares your enthusiasm for making a positive impact in the education sector.
• Client Management: Serve as the main point of contact for education sector clients, delivering high-quality audit services while cultivating lasting client relationships.
• Business Development: Actively engage in business development, including tendering, proposal creation, and expanding the client portfolio.
• Strategic Contribution: Work with senior leadership to shape the future direction and success of the division, contributing to its growth and long-term goals.
• Compliance & Quality: Ensure audits are compliant with relevant regulations and professional standards, maintaining the highest level of quality and integrity.

About You:

To excel in this role, you will need:

• Extensive External Audit Experience: Solid experience in external auditing, preferably within the education sector (schools, colleges, academies).
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with experience in managing and developing staff.
• Strong Communication Skills: The ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, delivering expert advice and client management.
• Professional Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent, with extensive external audit experience.
