About the Role

Are you a qualified, passionate chef looking for flexible working, a great work-life balance, and the chance to make a real difference?

As a Bank Chef at Seaview House Care Home, you will help deliver hotel- and restaurant-standard dining without the punishing split shifts and long hours of traditional hospitality. You will assist the Head Chef in crafting nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus, working closely with residents to ensure person-centred hospitality.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in managing the kitchen effectively in the Head Chef’s absence

• Preparing wholesome, high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal produce

• Helping to lead, motivate, and inspire the kitchen team

• Conducting regular audits, managing stock control, and working within budget

• Creating a warm, efficient, and fun environment for residents and colleagues alike

About You

To join us as a Bank Chef, you will need:

• A personable, warm approach with a genuine interest in resident wellbeing

• City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent culinary qualifications

• Experience working with fresh seasonal food and a solid understanding of nutrition

• Experience helping lead and inspire a kitchen team

• Good understanding of HACCP compliance
