Residential Conveyancing Solicitor/Legal Executive

Location: Poole/hybrid working from home

A new and exciting prospect has emerged for a 2+ PQE Residential Conveyancer to join a growing Dorset law firm.

The firm is seeking a proficient and knowledgeable Fee Earner to join its Poole office. You will be able to run your own varied caseload of residential property matters from initial instruction through to completion with a strong focus on client care.

Your work will include:

• Handling a broad range of residential conveyancing transactions, including freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, new-build properties, equity transfers and remortgage matters
• Examining title documentation, reviewing search results and raising or responding to enquiries as required throughout the transaction process
• Drafting, negotiating and progressing contracts, transfer deeds and mortgage-related documents through to exchange of contracts
• Preparing completion statements, arranging the drawdown of mortgage advances and overseeing the receipt and distribution of completion funds
• Ensuring the prompt submission of SDLT returns and registration of completed transactions with HM Land Registry
• Maintaining effective communication with clients, estate agents, lenders and legal representatives, providing regular updates and managing expectations throughout each matter

• Knows the functioning of case management systems
• Is sufficiently IT literate
• Understands the entire conveyancing process
