Student Support Manager
Location: Birmingham
Pay: £120–£150 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, ongoing

The Role:
Balfor Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Student Support Manager to lead on the pastoral development and welfare of students across KS3 and KS4. You will work closely with Heads of Year, SENCOs, and safeguarding leads to provide early intervention, manage behaviour strategies, and support students’ emotional, social, and academic needs. Your role will also include liaising with families, coordinating support plans, and helping students overcome barriers to learning.

What We’re Looking For:
• Experience in a pastoral, behaviour, or student welfare role
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
• Knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour policies, and support strategies
• A calm, approachable, and resilient attitude

Requirements:
• Previous school-based experience or work with young people (essential)
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Valid photo ID and up-to-date references
• Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding protocols
• Immediate or September availability
