This is a rewarding opportunity to support people with severe mental health needs, substance use issues and other complex challenges to achieve greater independence, stability and wellbeing. Using a strengths-based, trauma-informed and person-centred approach, you'll help customers build confidence, develop life skills and move towards their personal goals.

What you’ll do

As a Support Worker, you'll work closely with customers to deliver tailored support that promotes independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes. You'll also:

  • Support them with tenancy sustainment and help customers manage their accommodation successfully.
  • Encourage life skills development, including cooking, cleaning and maintaining a safe home environment.
  • Assist with benefits applications, budgeting and accessing financial support
  • Build positive relationships with mental health services, social care teams and other support agencies.
  • Support customers to access specialist services, education, training and community opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records, support plans and risk assessments.
  • Help customers prepare for and achieve successful move-on outcomes.

What you’ll need

We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and committed to delivering excellent support.  You'll be kind, empathetic and genuinely motivated to improve people's lives. You’re a customer-focused individual, an effective communicator who can work confidently with customers, colleagues and external agencies. You’ll also have:

  • Experience supporting people with mental health needs, substance use issues, homelessness, offending backgrounds or other complex support needs.
  • Knowledge of recovery-focused and/or trauma-informed practice.
  • Experience completing support plans, risk assessments and case records.
  • Confidence working independently and lone working when required.
  • Strong communication, organisation and IT skills.
  • An understanding of safeguarding, housing management and tenancy sustainment.
  • Empathy, resilience and a non-judgemental approach.

Please note this role will require an Enhanced DBS check.

  • Flexible benefits scheme including healthcare, dental, tech, vouchers, and more
  • Up to 10% pension contribution
  • Family-friendly policies
