Children’s Residential Support Worker
Location: Walsall
Pay Rate: £13.68 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent Roles Available

Balfor Recruitment is seeking Children’s Support Workers to join our residential services in Walsall supporting children with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties, and complex needs.
. In this rewarding role, you’ll be supporting children with:
- Autism
- Learning Disabilities (LD)
- Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
- Complex needs
You’ll help create a safe, nurturing home environment where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered.
What We’re Looking For
We want compassionate leaders who put children at the centre of everything they do.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year’s experience working with children (senior role preferred)
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting children with Autism, challenging behaviours, or self-harm risks
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver personalised care plans
- Act as a Key Worker, attending reviews and setting goals
- Provide emotional, social, and behavioural support
- Ensure safeguarding and care standards are consistently met
- Create an inclusive, safe, and positive home environment
- Maintain accurate records and incident reporting
