The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Planner to join a growing principal contractor delivering highways and road schemes.

With new project wins and an expanding workload, the business is strengthening its planning team to support continued growth. This is an opportunity to play a key role in project delivery, influence construction planning and develop your career within an ambitious contractor.

You will manage project programmes using Primavera P6, working closely with engineering, commercial and delivery teams to develop realistic construction schedules, monitor progress and identify risks to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• check_circle Develop, maintain and update detailed, logic-linked programmes in Primavera P6.
• check_circle Establish programme baselines, key milestones and critical paths.
• check_circle Monitor progress, analyse variances and develop recovery programmes where required.
• check_circle Work with project teams and subcontractors to incorporate construction methodologies, resources and sequencing.
• check_circle Produce progress reports, look-ahead programmes and supporting planning narratives.
• check_circle Assess the programme impact of changes, delays and project risks.
• check_circle Support tender planning and maintain compliance with contractual programme requirements.

About You

• check_circle Proven planning experience on highways, roads or comparable civil engineering schemes.
• check_circle Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
• check_circle An engineering background with a sound understanding of construction methods and sequencing.
• check_circle Ideally degree qualified in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
• check_circle Strong understanding of critical path analysis, programme logic, resource planning and progress measurement.
• check_circle Knowledge of NEC contracts and associated programme requirements.
• check_circle Confident communicating with clients, subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
