Maintenance Technician

Overall purpose

We are seeking a Building Fabric Technician who can perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks
working for a major plc as part of their in-house Facilities Management operation.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent customer service skills, and expertise in
various trades. The successful individual will be able to perform a range of maintenance and repair tasks in
commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities

Duties will include but not limited to:
• General Maintenance / Handyperson duties
• Clearance of vegetation
• PAT Testing
• Small Plumbing Works
• Door repairs
• Installation of carpet tiles
• Installation of stair nosing’s
• Assisting other trades and gaining skill training
• Cleaning Gutters
• Procurement of materials and equipment to conduct works.
• Completion of work sheets via our mobile app

Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience in working in a similar role.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact with stakeholders in a professional manner.
• Proficient in English to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Expertise and experience in various trades

Dimensions /Scope

• Conform to internal reporting procedures.
• Support the management of FM services to ensure they are effective and in line with Facilities Services,
policies and procedures.
• Ensure effective communication is in place for all sites ensuring you participate in any escalation of
technical problems/issues.
• The need for the job holder to understand briefs and projects both from a technical and business
perspective is an essential element to effective performance of this role.
• The job holder is to maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism in the undertaking of this
role.

Full Clean driving license required for this position, as it requires traveling around your region using the
provided transport. It is important for the candidate being comfortable working within and able to travel the
throughout the designated region.
This is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday 8am-5pm, with excellent benefits on offer.
