About This Role

We are looking for kind, caring and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support a beautiful baby boy who is currently in hospital, waiting for the right care team to help him make the transition home to his family.

He has a calm, gentle and loving nature and is usually full of smiles! He loves spending time with his family, especially his big sister, and enjoys sensory play, colourful lights, his favourite teddies and relaxing in his cosy cot. He is a little boy who loves his sleep and sucking his thumb, bringing plenty of joy to those around him!

Born prematurely, he has complex health needs, including a tracheostomy and ventilator support. He requires 1:1 care from someone who is patient, attentive and committed to helping him feel safe, comfortable and happy.

Your role will involve supporting his daily personal care, moving and handling, and ongoing development through activities such as physiotherapy and time on his play mat. You will help him explore his surroundings and practise new skills at his own pace.

Full training and shadowing will be provided at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, giving you the opportunity to build your confidence and develop the skills needed to support him safely.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic about making a real difference to a little boy’s life.

Please note: Due to the nature of our vacancies, our clients have the right to request either female or male staff.

Our client’s family has requested females only to join their team.

“This isn't just a job – it’s your opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life.”

Clinical Experience

Previous experience supporting children with complex healthcare needs is desirable.

Where required, specialist clinical training will be provided by our highly skilled, in-house nursing team.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
  • Have the right to work in the UK*
  • Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and child-centred care.
  • Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.
  • Be willing to undertake training and shadowing at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

We do not hold a sponsorship licence and are therefore unable to consider applicants requiring sponsorship.
