Warehouse Operative

The Warehouse Operative is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the warehouse. This involves various tasks related to the handling, storage, and transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving and Unloading:
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify that they match the order details.
  • Unload goods from delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment.
• Storage and Inventory:
  • Store goods in designated areas according to proper storage procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Pick and pack orders for shipment.
• Transportation:
  • Load and unload goods onto delivery vehicles.
  • Assist with vehicle maintenance and upkeep.
• Quality Control:
  • Inspect goods for damage or defects before storage or shipment.
  • Ensure that products are stored and transported under appropriate conditions.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects
