Speech and Language Therapist

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 8a Speech and Language Therapist to lead paediatric services with a focus on dysphagia. This senior role offers the opportunity to provide expert clinical care, service development, and leadership in supporting children and young people with complex swallowing and communication needs.

• Deliver expert assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for paediatric patients with dysphagia and associated communication difficulties.

• Provide advanced clinical leadership and act as a source of specialist knowledge across the paediatric speech and language therapy service.

• Work in partnership with families, carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred care.

• Lead on service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives within paediatric SLT.

• Offer supervision, mentoring, and training to junior therapists, assistants, and students to support workforce development.

• Contribute to strategic planning and innovation within the Trust to enhance paediatric speech and language therapy provision.
