About the role

Assistant Project Manager
£35,000-£45,000 per annum

Ready to take your operations management experience into a new sector?
Are you an Operations Manager, Duty Manager, Centre Manager or Site Manager who thrives on keeping people, facilities and day-to-day operations running smoothly?

This is an opportunity to take your existing skills into a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll coordinate multiple projects, lead onsite teams, manage resources and budgets, and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You don't need previous experience in this sector. If you're confident managing people, facilities, competing priorities and operational challenges, full training and support will be provided.

What you'll be doing
  • Operations management: Keep multiple sites and workstreams running efficiently, resolving issues and maintaining productivity.
  • Team leadership: Coordinate onsite teams, allocate resources and ensure everyone is working towards shared goals.
  • Planning & delivery: Support project planning, monitor progress and ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Facilities & health and safety: Maintain safe working environments, follow procedures and help manage site requirements.
  • Budgets & reporting: Monitor costs, prepare updates and maintain accurate records.
  • Client relationships: Communicate with clients and colleagues, manage expectations and help deliver successful outcomes.
What we're looking for
We're interested in people who know how to run busy, people-focused operations and want to develop their career in a new direction.

You'll bring:
  • Experience managing teams, sites, facilities or day-to-day operations.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to make decisions.
  • Experience managing resources, costs, deadlines or performance.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Good IT skills and strong attention to detail.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
IOSH, asbestos awareness and first aid qualifications would be advantageous, but are not essential. Relevant training and support will be provided.

London and Home Counties

  • The opportunity to transfer your existing management skills into a new sector.
  • Training and support to develop your project management experience.
  • A varied, hands-on role with responsibility, autonomy and opportunities to grow.
