Exceptional 12-month Emergency Medicine Registrar locum opportunity at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH), Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. £60–£70/hr assignment rate. Start date August 2026, working a 1:13 doctor rota including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

The RVH Emergency Department is Northern Ireland’s primary major trauma centre and one of the busiest EDs in the UK, managing a high-acuity, high-volume caseload including major trauma, resuscitation, undifferentiated emergencies, and time-critical pathways. As a locum Emergency Medicine registrar you will lead the resuscitation area, supervise junior staff, perform advanced emergency procedures, liaise with regional specialty teams, and participate in the full consultant of the week model out-of-hours. This is a substantive registrar-level locum post.

Essential criteria: minimum 2 years’ emergency medicine experience, minimum 1 year anaesthetic/ICU experience with demonstrable airway skills, MRCEM or equivalent qualification, valid ALS, ATLS, and APLS certifications. GMC full registration with licence to practise and AccessNI clearance required. Closing date for CV submission is 29 May 2026. Only fully compliant Regional Framework files will be considered.
