Consultant Endocrinologist & Diabetologist Locum - Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast
Outstanding Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist locum opportunity at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. £100–£110/hr assignment rate. 3 to 6 month post with immediate start (ASAP), pending substantive Trust recruitment.
The RVH Endocrinology and Diabetes department provides comprehensive outpatient and inpatient services for the full range of endocrine and metabolic conditions. This is a demanding and varied consultant locum post covering: general diabetes outpatient clinics weekly, transition diabetes clinics monthly, antenatal diabetes outpatient clinics weekly (joint team), antenatal thyroid clinics weekly, general endocrine outpatient clinics weekly, pituitary/adrenal clinic monthly, neuroendocrine clinics bi-monthly, and Endocrinology and Diabetes inpatient ward cover on a 1-in-9.5 consultant rota including out-of-hours and weekend on-call.
The post requires a consultant with broad Endocrinology and Diabetes expertise including diabetes in pregnancy, pituitary/adrenal disease, and complex inpatient endocrinology. GMC Specialist Register entry for Endocrinology and Diabetes (or General Internal Medicine with endocrine interest) is required. Full GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, and AccessNI clearance are mandatory. All files must meet Regional Framework compliance criteria.
