This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Family Lawyer to join a firm with a strong community presence and long-standing reputation for delivering trusted legal services across South Yorkshire.

The Role

• Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters
• Advising clients on divorce, separation, and financial settlements
• Handling private children matters, including Child Arrangements Orders
• Drafting legal documents, court applications, and consent orders
• Representing clients at hearings, directions, appointments, and negotiations
• Providing clear, practical, and sensitive legal advice tailored to individual circumstances
• Supporting clients through complex and often emotional situations
• Contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the Family Department

Key Responsibilities

• Running your own caseload of family matters from instruction through to conclusion
• Managing divorce and financial remedy proceedings
• Advising on private children matters and related disputes
• Preparing court documentation, statements, and bundles
• Conducting negotiations and representing clients at court hearings
• Maintaining high standards of client care and compliance
• Achieving fee-earning targets and contributing to departmental performance
• Building and maintaining strong professional relationships within the local area

About You

The ideal candidate will be proactive, client-focused, and ready to make an impact. You will have:

• Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with solid experience in Family Law
• Proven ability to handle private family matters independently
• Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach
• Ability to build trust and rapport with clients
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Commercial awareness and commitment to achieving targets
