Grayscale Medical is seeking a Foundation Year 2 Doctor (SHO/Middle Grade) for a Psychiatry locum position at Grangewood Hospital, Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT). This role is offered at a £50–£55/hr assignment rate, starting immediately through to 4th August 2026, working 40 hours per week with potential ad hoc on-call availability.

Grangewood Hospital is the Western Trust's specialist mental health facility in Londonderry, providing inpatient and community psychiatry services across the Western HSC Trust area. The successful locum will join the psychiatry team delivering care to adults requiring mental health assessment, treatment, and support across the facility.

The role involves participation in the psychiatric ward team, assessment and management of patients with mental health conditions, contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings, and providing on-call cover as required. Candidates with Encompass (EPR) training are preferred, though training can be arranged for the right candidate.

Requirements:

• SHO or Middle Grade doctor with GMC registration and licence to practise
• Previous experience in Psychiatry preferred
• Valid AccessNI clearance (DBS alone does not suffice for Northern Ireland)
• Right to work in the UK
• Up-to-date CV with complete employment history
• Two clinical references, at least one from a recent Psychiatry post
• Encompass (EPR) training is desirable
