Oxford Based Salary: £24,000 - £36,000 DOE Permanent, Full-Time

Are you an experienced Traffic Mangagment Operative?

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Traffic Mangagment Operative to join a professional and growing traffic management company. This is a hands-on role requiring a reliable and safety-conscious individual who can work effectively as part of a team. You will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management systems while ensuring the safety of road users, pedestrians, and colleagues at all times.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• LANTRA Traffic Management Qualification
• Previous experience in traffic management or highways maintenance
• Valid Traffic Management qualification/card (or willingness to obtain)
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable:

• TTMBC (12D M1/M2) Card
• M5, M6 or higher traffic management units
• First Aid qualification

Roles & Responsibilities

• Setting up, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management systems.
• Installing traffic signs, cones, barriers, and other traffic control equipment.
• Carrying out site inspections to ensure safe and compliant traffic management operations.
• Monitoring and maintaining traffic flow throughout works.
• Completing daily site documentation and records accurately.
• Ensuring all traffic management equipment is maintained and used correctly.
• Working safely and following all health and safety procedures.
• Liaising with supervisors, colleagues, and clients professionally.
• Responding to emergency traffic management requirements when needed.
• Assisting with traffic management planning and site preparations.
• Working flexible hours, including nights and weekends where required.
• Undertaking any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the company.

As a Traffic Management Operative, you will also be expected to:

• Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and work quality.
• Ensure company vehicles and equipment are kept clean and serviceable.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
