Vab Drivers - Newbury

We are currently recruiting for Van Drivers locally based in Newbury RG14 on the following details:

Location:

Newbury RG14, Hambridge Lane

Hours:

Monday - Friday

Contract:

Temporary ongoing - full-time hours

Pay Rate:

Standard: £13ph (PAYE)

Overtime: £19.50ph (PAYE)

Main Duties

• Loading and unloading parcels from a 3.5T van at the depot.
• Completing daily collections and deliveries within allocated routes and timescales.
• Using handheld scanners to track parcel movements and obtain proof of delivery.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and ensuring the van is roadworthy.
• Providing professional customer service when interacting with businesses and residential customers.
• Safely handling parcels, with some items weighing up to 25-30kg.
• Following company procedures and maintaining accurate delivery records.

Skills & Experience

• Full UK driving licence (normally held for at least 12 months).
• Good geographical knowledge and route-planning skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physically fit due to regular lifting and loading duties
