This full-time maternity cover role offers the chance to make a real impact, delivering engaging PE lessons and encouraging students of all abilities to reach their full potential.Role DetailsLocation: Harrow, North West LondonStart Date: After half termWorking Pattern: Full-timeContract: Temporary maternity coverSalary: In line with the Main Pay Scale (MPS)Parking: On-site parking availableThe RolePlan and deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons that develop students' physical skills, fitness, confidence and teamwork.Teach a range of physical activities and sports across relevant key stages, adapting lessons to meet students' varying abilities and needs.Inspire students to participate in sport, embrace physical activity and develop healthy, active lifestyles.Promote sportsmanship, resilience, discipline and collaboration through practical lessons and team activities.Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual development and achievement.Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour and safety during practical lessons.Ensure all activities are delivered safely, following appropriate health and safety procedures.Work collaboratively with colleagues to support extracurricular sporting opportunities and contribute to the wider school community.The Ideal CandidateHolds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised equivalent, where applicable.Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for PE, sport and physical education.Demonstrates effective classroom management and the ability to engage and motivate students.Can deliver dynamic, inclusive lessons that challenge and inspire students of all abilities.Is enthusiastic about promoting participation, teamwork, personal development and healthy lifestyles.Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.Both ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply!
