Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Year 4

Desian Education are proud to be supporting a single-form entry primary school in Runcorn that has an extremely understanding, collaborative and nurturing senior leadership team. Due to internal changes within the school we are looking to appoint an experienced and reliable HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to working on a long-term part-time basis within the year 4 class. This position will last a minimum of two full-terms with hours that consist of 8:30am – 1pm, Monday to Friday.

Your new role:

As a HLTA within this school you will be joining the year 4 class and supporting the class teacher in all aspects of learning. You will work collaboratively with the teacher to promote the engagement and learning of your pupils by utilising an array of learning equipment, implementing a myriad of positive behaviour strategies and support with PPA cover. This year 4 class can at times be “boisterous” so you will need to have strong behaviour management skills and be able to adapt your approach to best suit individual responses.

What you need to succeed:

• Full “Right to Work” in the UK
• An Enhanced Children’s DBS certificate or willingness to obtain
• Expert knowledge of the KS2 national curriculum
• Be at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualified
• Be able to commit to a long-term contract
