Year 6 Class Teacher

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated Year 6 Class Teacher to join our friendly and supportive school in St Helens for the Autumn Term 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding practitioner who is passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential during this important stage of their primary education. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching, raising standards and ensuring every child feels valued, supported and challenged.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
• Demonstrates high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
• Has a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Is committed to providing engaging, creative and inclusive learning experiences.
• Can work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Is passionate about making a difference to children’s learning and wellbeing.

What you will need: 

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience teaching in upper KS2
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
• Satisfactory References
