We are seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing, and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in St Helens from September 2026 on a long-term temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner or an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is passionate about providing outstanding learning experiences and helping children develop a lifelong love of learning.

The Role

As the Reception Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the EYFS framework.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
• Assess, monitor, and support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within EYFS, preferably Reception.
• A thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A caring, positive, and child-centred approach to teaching.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
