Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £45,000–£50,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

We are recruiting an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. You will play a key role in maintaining plant and machinery, minimising downtime and ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Fault-find on PLC systems, three-phase equipment and ladder logic.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Install, repair and commission machinery and equipment.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including equipment isolation and permit-to-work systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work closely with production teams.

Requirements: 

• 5+ years’ maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with PLC diagnostics, three-phase systems and ladder logic.
• Relevant electrical qualifications, ideally 16th, 17th or 18th Edition.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Good communication, IT and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach to maintenance and health and safety.
