Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum

The Opportunity

A growing business in Bracknell is looking for an organised and detail-focused Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day running of the finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong bookkeeping experience who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers and journals.
• Process purchase and sales invoices.
• Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable and support credit control activities.
• Assist with month-end reporting and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial information for management review.
• Support year-end processes and external accountants where required.
• Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and compliantly.

About You

You will have previous bookkeeping or finance assistant experience and be confident managing transactional finance activities with minimal supervision.

Key requirements:

• Experience in a Bookkeeper, Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Competent Excel and general IT skills.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.

AAT qualifications or study towards a finance qualification would be advantageous but are not essential.
