Ashton Recruitment is seeking a reliable Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe and presentable retail environment at a shopping centre in Derry/Londonderry

Cleaner (8 hours per week)

Location: Derry/Londonderry
Duration: Temporary to Permanent
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 7:00am-9:00am – 8 hours per week

Duties:

• Clean and maintain the shop floor and designated staff areas.
• Sweep, vacuum and mop floors, ensuring walkways are clean and free from hazards.
• Dust and wipe accessible surfaces, counters and frequently touched areas.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste in the designated areas.
• Clean staff facilities and toilets where required.
• Keep cleaning equipment clean, maintained and stored safely.
• Use cleaning products and chemicals in accordance with Health and Safety requirements.
• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks to the required standard.
• Report hazards, maintenance issues or shortages of cleaning supplies.

Essential Criteria:

• Ability to commit to the working hours required, including early starts.
• Previous professional cleaning experience, ideally within a retail environment.
• Ability to work independently and use own initiative.
• Good attention to detail.
• A reliable and professional approach.
• Excellent customer service skills.
