House Manger Rota Role in Esher, Surrey

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced rota House Manager/PA with strong childcare experience to join a wonderful returning family based in Esher. This role operates on a 24/7 rota schedule of one week on, one week off.
We have had the pleasure of working with this lovely family previously, and as their children have grown, they are now seeking someone who can confidently take on a broader role encompassing both house management and PA responsibilities. That said, a genuine love of working with children and hands-on childcare experience remain essential, as you will still play an important role in their day-to-day care.
The family has two delightful children — a charming 3-year-old boy and a bright, sweet-natured 7-year-old girl. The position will involve a mixture of sole charge and shared care, so a collaborative, team-oriented approach is key.
This is a warm, down-to-earth household with a relaxed and informal atmosphere. While it is not a fully staffed home, the family greatly values a “muck in” attitude. Nursery duties and cooking for the children will form part of the role, and everyone works together to keep the home running smoothly. Flexibility, initiative, and a positive approach are highly appreciated.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and engaging, with proven experience in liaising with contractors, overseeing property maintenance, arranging travel, and confidently stepping in to represent the principals when required.
Experience with Horses would be a real bonus!
Accommodation in the current property consists of a private bedroom with bathroom and kitchenette area, as well as access to a lounge in your down time, all on the lower ground floor. A car will also be provided while on duty, so candidates must be confident driving larger vehicles and hold a clean driving licence. The family also enjoy travelling so you must be happy to accompany them and if you have been away with families skiing before it would be a real bonus!
