Management Accountant

Iconic Resourcing is delighted to be exclusively supporting it's client who is looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team on an intial 3-month contract during a busy period. You’ll be hands-on from day one, taking ownership of core month-end and reporting tasks so the team can keep delivering as workloads peak.   This is a good fit if you like getting stuck in quickly, are comfortable picking up processes with minimal handover, and enjoy being a trusted pair of hands in a fast-moving team.   What you’ll be doing

• Supporting the month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing management accounts and variance analysis, with clear commentary for budget holders
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc reporting
• Managing cost centre reporting and working with the wider business on queries
• Helping with balance sheet reviews, fixed assets and intercompany reconciliations
• Supporting audit and year-end work where needed
• Identifying quick wins to tidy up and improve processes

About you

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAS or equivalent) or QBE, with strong management accounting experience
• Proven experience producing month-end and management reporting in a commercial environment
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines and prioritising in a busy team
• Advanced Excel skills, with experience of an ERP or accounting system
• A proactive, flexible approach and the confidence to make an immediate impact
