Senior Depot Manager – Portsmouth

We are recruiting for a Senior Depot Manager role in the Portsmouth area.Our client in the construction hire sector is seeking an experienced Depot Manager to take full responsibility for a fast paced depot.

Job Title: Senior Depot Manager
Location: Portsmouth area
Salary: £55-65K basic (OTE £70K) + car + excellent benefits

Main Duties:

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the depot
• Recruiting and mentoring staff
• Managing a customer base and developing plans to increase business
• Maximising growth and profitability
• Ensuring that high levels of service are maintained
• Holding team meetings
• Liaising with key customers to make sure they’re satisfied with the depot’s performance
• Managing stock levels
• Monitoring health and safety in the depot
• Full P&L responsibility

Requirements:

• Experience of managing a large team in a fast paced operational environment
• Experience of management in a busy sales led, growing company 
• Able to recruit across multiple roles
• Exceptional people management skills – able to mentor, develop and train a team to a high level
• Ability to demonstrate business acumen
• Previous experience of a senior management role within the construction hire sector
