Zest Education is proud to be supporting a specialist school in West London that caters for pupils with ASD and SEMH needs. As the school continues to grow, we are looking to appoint several dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students with Autism & Social Emotional Mental Health (ASC/SEMH) to join their expanding team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a nurturing, forward-thinking environment where every child is supported to thrive. Whether you’re an experienced SEND practitioner or someone with strong transferable skills and a genuine passion for working with neurodiverse young people, we would love to hear from you.

What the role involves

  • Supporting pupils with Autism (ASD) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH)
  • Working within small classes of 4–8 students
  • Providing tailored support based on your experience and strengths
  • Assisting with learning activities, emotional regulation and social development
  • Some personal care may be required – training and support provided
  • Collaborating with teachers and therapists to create a positive, structured learning environment

Why this school?

  • Brand-new school, chance to be part of something from the start
  • Excellent outdoor play and sensory facilities
  • Supportive leadership team who value staff development
  • Comprehensive training for all permanent staff
  • A genuinely warm, calm and inclusive atmosphere
  • Behaviour is not highly challenging, with strong routines already in place

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in SEND settings OR transferable skills (care, youth work, psychology, sports coaching, etc.)
  • A patient, resilient and compassionate approach
  • Ability to commit to full-time hours preferred, though part-time days may be considered
  • A desire to build long-term relationships – this is a temp-to-perm role, and the school is keen to offer permanent contracts to the right people

What’s in it for you?

  • A pathway into a permanent role
  • Ongoing support from Zest Education
  • A chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people
  • A welcoming team who will help you grow and succeed
