We are seeking an experienced Group & Entity Reporting professional to join a specialist international insurance business on an initial six-month interim assignment, providing critical support to the finance function through the year-end reporting cycle.

This is a hands-on role combining senior-level review and oversight with detailed reporting delivery. The successful candidate will help ensure Group and legal entity reporting requirements are met accurately and on time, while supporting the finance team through a period of significant business change.

Following a recent acquisition by a US insurance group, the business is navigating an evolving reporting environment, with increased activity and a need to maintain robust financial reporting processes while responding to changing Group requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced reporting professional to make an immediate impact within a complex insurance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Group and Entity Reporting, with a particular focus on the year-end close and reporting cycle.
• Review and oversee financial reporting outputs, ensuring accuracy, completeness and consistency across Group and individual legal entities.
• Take a hands-on approach to reporting preparation, review and the resolution of technical or operational reporting issues.
• Provide oversight and constructive challenge across reporting processes, controls and reconciliations.
• Work closely with finance stakeholders to coordinate reporting deliverables, manage deadlines and ensure timely completion of reporting requirements.
• Support the finance function through a period of change following the acquisition by a US insurance group.
• Help manage evolving Group reporting requirements and address emerging challenges during the year-end period.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, strengthen controls and enhance the quality and efficiency of reporting delivery.
• Candidate Requirements
• We are looking for an experienced finance professional with a strong background in Group and Entity Reporting, ideally within the insurance sector or Lloyd’s market.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Strong technical experience across Group and legal entity financial reporting.
• Experience supporting or leading year-end reporting and financial close processes.
• The ability to review, challenge and provide oversight of reporting outputs while remaining comfortable with hands-on delivery.
• A solid understanding of financial controls, reconciliations and reporting governance.
• Experience working within a complex Group structure, managing multiple reporting requirements and competing deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across finance teams and the wider business.
• A proactive, pragmatic and delivery-focused approach, with the ability to get up to speed quickly and operate autonomously.
• Experience with US Group reporting requirements or working within a business undergoing acquisition, integration or significant organisational change would be advantageous.
