Counterbalance Operative

iRecruit4 are hiring for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver for our client, a well-established storage and logistics company. This role offers consistent, ongoing work with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate and is based on a fixed night shift.

Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday OR Monday to Friday
Hours: 22:00 – Finish (finish time between 06:00 – 09:00 due to the nature of the role)

Job Duties:
• Loading and unloading containers safely and efficiently
• Operating a Counterbalance forklift truck
• Working both inside and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Transporting goods between containers, yard, and warehouse locations
• Accurately placing items into designated storage areas
• Assisting with stock movement and organisation across the site
• Carrying out daily pre-use checks on the forklift and reporting any faults
• Ensuring all loads are secure, stable, and handled with care
• Working to schedules and instructions to meet daily operational targets
• Maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail when handling goods
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures and site regulations
• Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors
