Supply Chain Coordinator

Cogent Staffing are seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain Coordinator to join our client’s busy team in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Operating at the heart of the business, this is a hands-on role serving as the primary link between suppliers, production, warehousing, transport providers, and customers. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end order lifecycle across retail, wholesale, and export accounts, ensuring materials arrive on time and finished goods are delivered efficiently.

Shifts & Salary

• Salary: £30,000 per annum
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Working Hours: Standard Monday to Friday office hours
• Location: Sowerby Bridge, office based

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day customer orders from initial receipt through to successful delivery across individual, wholesale, major retail, and export accounts.
• Coordinate inbound deliveries of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging while maintaining comprehensive schedules for all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Monitor stock levels across multiple locations, including 3PL warehouses and online marketplace sites, to prevent production shortages.
• Handle export logistics by coordinating necessary customs documentation and compliance certification for international shipments.
• Resolve delivery discrepancies, shortages, and damages quickly while driving strong
• On Time In Full (OTIF) performance.
• Build effective working relationships with raw material suppliers, hauliers, and internal manufacturing teams to streamline supply chain efficiency.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in a supply chain, logistics, purchasing, FMCG, or operational coordination role.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask, manage high-volume moving parts, and remain calm under pressure.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong numerical and analytical capabilities, plus confident proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising professionally with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solver with strong commercial awareness and a hands-on, adaptable attitude.
• Advantageous experience includes FMCG/food/beverage environments, export/customs documentation, major retailer portals/EDI, and working with 3PL providers.
