Launch Your IT Career in the Legal Sector
TSR Legal is currently assisting a well-established law firm in Cardiff with the recruitment of an IT Graduate to join its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an individual at the early stages of their IT career to gain valuable hands-on experience within a professional legal environment. Working alongside an experienced team, you will help support the firm’s IT systems, assist colleagues with technical queries and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the business.
The role would suit someone who is technically minded, enthusiastic about developing their skills and keen to build a long-term career in IT.
The Role
As an IT Graduate, your responsibilities may include:
- Providing first-line IT support to colleagues across the firm.
- Assisting with troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity issues.
- Supporting the setup and maintenance of computers, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
- Helping manage user accounts, access permissions and password queries.
- Assisting with Microsoft 365, email systems and other business applications.
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of IT systems and processes.
- Escalating more complex technical issues to senior members of the team.
- Maintaining accurate records of IT requests, issues and resolutions.
- Helping ensure systems operate securely and efficiently, with appropriate attention to confidentiality and data protection.
- Supporting colleagues in making effective use of technology within a busy legal environment.
Full training and support will be provided to help you develop your technical knowledge and confidence in the role.
What We’re Looking For

You may have:
- A degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related subject, or equivalent practical experience.
- A genuine interest in technology, IT support and troubleshooting.
- Good problem-solving skills and a logical approach to resolving issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn new systems, applications and technologies.
- An understanding of confidentiality and the importance of data security within a professional environment.
Previous IT support experience, knowledge of Microsoft 365 or familiarity with service desk systems would be advantageous, but enthusiasm and the right attitude are equally important.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- The opportunity to begin or develop your IT career within an established law firm.
- Practical, hands-on experience supporting business-critical technology.
- Exposure to a range of IT systems, applications and technical challenges.
