About the role
Rhino Recruitment are currently looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for an energy-from-waste plant in Avonmouth.
Rate: £30 per hour + overtime at x1.5 and x1.8
Duration: 12 months
Hours: 07:30–16:00 + overtime
On Call: 1 in 4 weekends – £35 per day when on call, plus overtime if called out.
Duties:

Planned and reactive maintenance across plant machinery and equipment.

Maintenance and repairs to grab cranes, hydraulics, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes and motors.

Fault finding, diagnostics and breakdown repairs.

Mechanical fitting, replacing worn components and carrying out repairs.

Completing preventative maintenance and routine inspections.

Ensuring plant equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Participating in the weekend on-call rota and attending site for breakdowns when required.
Requirements:

Valid CCNSG or CSCS card.

Relevant mechanical trade qualifications or time-served experience.
-
Previous mechanical maintenance or mechanical fitting experience.

Energy-from-waste experience beneficial.
-
Full UK driving licence.
-
Must be available for weekend on-call work.
