School Kitchen Assistant Required

We are currently recruiting for a School Kitchen Assistant to join a busy and friendly school catering team in Corby. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and wants to help provide healthy, nutritious meals to pupils each day.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of meals and snacks for students and staff
• Serving food in a professional and friendly manner
• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas
• Washing dishes, utensils, and catering equipment
• Supporting stock rotation and storage of deliveries
• Adhering to food hygiene, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures
• Working effectively as part of the catering team to ensure a smooth service

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience within catering, hospitality, or food service is advantageous but not essential
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Able to work well within a team environment
• Good communication skills
• Understanding of food hygiene standards
• Enhanced DBS Certificate, or willingness to obtain one
