Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a School Receptionist to join a secondary school in Bolton. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong customer service, reception or administrative experience who would enjoy working in a busy school environment.

The role

As the first point of contact for the school, you will help create a welcoming and professional environment for pupils, parents, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities may include:

• Welcoming visitors and managing the sign-in process.

• Answering telephone calls, emails and general enquiries.

• Directing enquiries and taking accurate messages.

• Liaising with parents, pupils and staff professionally.

• Supporting general school office administration.

• Maintaining accurate records and handling confidential information.

• Following school procedures for visitor management and safeguarding.

The ideal candidate

• Previous reception, customer service or administrative experience.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A friendly, professional and approachable manner.

• Good organisational skills and basic IT proficiency.

• The ability to remain calm in a busy environment.

• Reliability, flexibility and an understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding.

School experience would be beneficial but is not essential for candidates with the right transferable skills.
