The Opportunity:

Are you a creative communications professional who knows how to bring a business strategy to life and engage colleagues through great storytelling?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and creative Internal Communications Manager to join Holcim UK on a 15-Month Fixed-Term Contract. Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, you’ll play a key role in delivering our internal communications strategy during an exciting period of transformation for the business.

This is a varied, fast-paced role where you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to how we communicate with, connect and engage our colleagues across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

You’ll lead on a range of internal communications projects, campaigns and channels, helping colleagues understand our business priorities and feel connected to our strategy, wherever they work.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Bringing our communications strategy to life by developing and delivering engaging campaigns, projects and content aligned with our business priorities.

  • Developing our digital channels by managing and evolving Blink, our digital internal communications platform, to improve engagement, collaboration and productivity across our dispersed workforce.

  • Championing Health & Safety communications, our number one business priority, working closely with the HSE team to deliver clear, impactful and engaging communications.

  • Creating compelling content for our weekly digital newsletter, corporate intranet and other internal channels, using your creativity to make communications relevant and accessible.

  • Designing engaging materials in-house, particularly using Canva, ensuring all content reflects our brand guidelines and brings messages to life.

  • Delivering campaigns and events that strengthen employee engagement, build understanding of our business strategy and celebrate our people and achievements.

  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, including senior leaders, the People and Marketing teams, and colleagues across the wider Holcim Group.

  • Measuring impact by tracking agreed metrics and KPIs, using insights to continually improve our communications channels and approach.

  • Managing projects effectively, ensuring activities are delivered to plan and within agreed budgets.

You’ll also provide communications support across the business, bring fresh ideas to our existing channels and help identify new ways to connect with colleagues.

What we're looking for

You’ll be a confident and creative communicator who enjoys working in a fast-paced corporate environment and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in internal communications, including developing, delivering and measuring communications plans and campaigns.

  • Experience managing digital communications channels and engaging different audiences across an organisation.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for turning complex information into clear, engaging content.

  • Strong creative skills and experience designing communications materials in-house using Canva or similar tools.

  • Excellent project management, organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • A proactive, positive and self-motivated approach, with the confidence to share ideas, challenge the status quo and recommend new ways of working.

  • The ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of delivery.

  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience.

Experience communicating with a geographically dispersed workforce would be beneficial, as would knowledge of our industry. A portfolio showcasing your previous campaigns, creative work and achievements will be valuable.

We are committed to building a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. You will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or age.
