About the role

Teaching Assistant (Year 3) - Heysham

Veritas Education are seeking an experienced and qualified Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class in a welcoming primary school in Heysham.

This is a full-time, long-term position starting week commencing Monday 2nd November, working Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 3:15pm, term time only.

The Role

  • Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 3 classroom
  • Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and interventions
  • Providing both group and 1:1 support where required
  • Encouraging pupil progress, confidence, and participation
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and general classroom duties

  • Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Has previous experience working in a primary school setting
  • Experience supporting Key Stage 2 pupils
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting children's learning

  • Full-time hours: 8:45am - 3:15pm, Monday to Friday
  • Term time only
  • Start date: Week commencing 2nd November
  • Based in Heysham
