Production Operatives

Location: Huddersfield, HD3
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour – with opportunities for pay increases after 3 months through upskilling
Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Training Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent

About the Role

Novara People are currently recruiting Production Operatives to join a well-established manufacturer based in Huddersfield.

This is a fantastic opportunity for hardworking and reliable individuals looking to develop their skills within a busy manufacturing environment.

Successful candidates will work across various production departments, gaining hands-on experience with different machinery, tools and manufacturing processes.

Please note: All successful candidates will initially work on the day shift (7:30am – 4:00pm) to complete their training before moving onto the afternoon shift (2:00pm – 10:00pm).

Key Responsibilities

Working across different production departments to support daily manufacturing operations.
Measuring, cutting and preparing materials to required specifications.
Operating CNC machinery following appropriate training.
Using pneumatic air tools and other production equipment.
Assembling and preparing components in line with production requirements.
Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
Handling and moving materials safely around the production area.
Working to production targets while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Following all health and safety procedures.
Supporting other departments as required.

Skills Required

Previous experience within a production, manufacturing or warehouse environment would be advantageous.
Experience using machinery, hand tools or pneumatic tools would be beneficial.
Comfortable undertaking physical, hands-on work.
Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Willingness to learn new skills and work across different departments.
Must be able to attend day-shift training before moving onto the afternoon shift.

Rate of Pay

£12.71 per hour
