Hod Carrier

LOCATION: Uckfield, East Sussex

START DATE: ASAP

DURATION: Until 26th November 2026

PAY RATE: £18.00 per hour

HOURS: 8 hours paid per day

We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking hod carrier to join a project in Uckfield, East Sussex, starting ASAP and running until 26th November 2026.

The successful candidate will be assisting bricklayers on site, ensuring materials are readily available and helping to keep the work area clean, organised and safe. Previous experience as a hod carrier is preferred, and candidates must be physically fit, dependable and able to work efficiently as part of a team.

Duties

• Mixing and supplying mortar to bricklayers.
• Carrying bricks, blocks and other building materials around site.
• Keeping bricklayers supplied with materials to ensure work runs smoothly.
• Assisting with general labouring duties as required.
• Keeping the site and work areas clean, tidy and free from hazards.
• Following site health and safety procedures.
• Working alongside bricklayers and other site personnel.
• Ensuring materials and tools are handled safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Valid CSCS card.
• Own appropriate PPE.
• Previous hod carrying or construction site experience preferred.
• References available upon request.
• Physically fit and capable of carrying materials throughout the working day.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Available to start ASAP and work until 26th November 2026.
