Coachbuilder – Night Shift

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Night Shift Coachbuilder to join the UK’s leading manufacturer of specialist temperature-controlled and bespoke commercial vehicles, based at their Dunfermline facility.

Our client is a long-established, family-owned business with over 65 years of engineering excellence and a strong reputation for quality and innovation across the commercial vehicle industry.

What’s on offer?

• Full-time permanent position
• Sunday to Thursday, 8pm to 6:30am
• Overtime paid at X1.5 after 39 hours, and X2 after 43 hours
• Clear progression, with the opportunity to increase your pay as you develop your skills
• 33 days holiday per year

Pay grades
Your starting rate depends on experience, and you move up the grades as your skills develop; plus, a £120 weekly night shift allowance:

• £14.17 (Grade 1)
• £14.87 (Grade 2)
• £15.78 (Grade 3)
• £16.44 (Grade 4)
• £17.11 (Grade 5)

As a Coachbuilder, your duties will include:

• Assembling mechanical components to engineering specifications using hand and power tools
• Performing quality checks throughout the assembly process and resolving build issues
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately
• Collaborating with other departments to improve build flow
• Maintaining accurate build records and a clean, safe work environment

To be considered as a Coachbuilder, you will need:

• Experience in mechanical assembly or coachbuilding
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality
• A team-focused approach with good problem-solving skills
• Basic IT skills for job tracking
