ILS Engineer job in London – DOE

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced ILS Engineer to join a leading organisation within the European defence sector. Hexwired is working in partnership with an innovative and rapidly growing company that is seeking an engineer to support the development and delivery of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) capabilities throughout the project lifecycle.

As an ILS Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative engineering team while also being expected to work independently when required. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting future ILS and Technical Publications activities, helping to identify, assess, and implement new technologies, processes, and methodologies that enhance support engineering capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Integrated Logistics Support solutions during project development phases.
• Assist with the identification, evaluation, and implementation of innovative technologies and processes to support future ILS activities.
• Contribute to Technical Publications and Support Engineering initiatives.
• Work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation, specifications, and proposals.

Skills and Experience Required

• HNC qualification or above in Electronic Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Support Engineering and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), including hands-on experience applying defence standards and frameworks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and organisational levels.
• Proven ability to create accurate, professional, and well-structured technical documentation.
• A strong team player who can work effectively with colleagues from a range of technical backgrounds and working styles.
• Security Clearance is required for this position.
