Hexwired Recruitment is working with an innovative electronics manufacturing company based in Winchester that is looking to recruit an Electronics Design Engineer to support the development of its next generation of advanced electronic products.

Due to continued business growth and increasing customer demand, the company is expanding its engineering team and seeking an experienced electronics professional with a strong background in electronic circuit design. Candidates with experience in mixed-signal electronics and FPGA integration will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.

This position focuses primarily on the design and development of new electronic products, offering the chance to work on technically challenging projects within a growing and technology-driven environment.

The Role

As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of electronic hardware solutions for new products. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will contribute to the creation of innovative electronic systems from concept through to production.

The role offers exposure to a variety of design challenges and provides an opportunity to work with modern electronic technologies, including digital systems, PCB development, and FPGA-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic hardware for new product development projects.
• Create and maintain schematics using industry-standard design tools.
• Support PCB design, layout review, and hardware integration activities.
• Work on mixed-signal and digital electronic designs.
• Integrate FPGA technologies into electronic hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support product development through the full design lifecycle.
• Contribute to testing, validation, and product implementation activities.

Skills and Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electronic design and experience developing complex hardware solutions.

Essential requirements include:

• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom without requiring visa sponsorship.
• Experience creating and managing electronic schematics using schematic capture tools.
• Strong commercial experience using Altium Designer.
• Proven background in electronics design, including PCB development and implementation.
• Good understanding of digital electronics and associated design principles.
• Experience integrating FPGA devices into electronic circuit board designs.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering environment.

Desirable Skills

The following experience would be advantageous but is not essential:

• Knowledge of Verilog.
• Experience with System Verilog.
• Additional exposure to mixed-signal electronics development.

Salary and Benefits

The company is offering a salary in the region of £60,000 to £70,000, depending on experience, together with a comprehensive benefits package.
