Working closely with software developers, business analysts, and product teams, you will help ensure applications meet both functional and technical requirements before release.

This position is well suited to someone with a passion for software quality, strong analytical skills, and an interest in financial technology and trading systems. You will have the opportunity to develop your expertise in automated testing, trading workflows, and financial messaging technologies while contributing to continuous improvement across QA processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across financial applications and trading systems.
  • Review user stories and requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Record, monitor, and verify software defects using issue-tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and design reviews.
  • Contribute to the refinement and validation of functional requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to support successful software delivery.
  • Help improve testing methodologies, QA standards, and software quality processes.
  • Stay informed on emerging testing technologies and best practices to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical capability, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills.

Key skills include:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Highly motivated and capable of working independently when required.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to software quality.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools and technologies to enhance productivity and workflow efficiency.
  • Essential Experience
  • Previous experience of approximately one to two years within a Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or similar technical role.
  • Understanding of software testing principles and quality assurance practices.
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments.
Desirable Experience

Candidates with any of the following experience will be at an advantage:

  • Familiarity with FIX Protocol messaging and financial trading workflows.
  • Experience developing or maintaining automated testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation platforms.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages including Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Exposure to trading systems, financial technology platforms, or capital markets applications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
