Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Hexwired Recruitment has partnered with an innovative electronics company in London that has recently secured significant investment and is expanding its machine learning capability. They are now looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to work on cutting-edge modelling and simulation projects, focusing on hardware acceleration technologies and distributed systems.

This is a senior-level position offering the opportunity to work with international customers and advanced accelerator platforms, with a high degree of technical ownership within an established engineering team. The role is hybrid, based in Central London with convenient access to Liverpool Street.

• Develop and optimise machine learning models for hardware acceleration platforms.
• Work on modelling and simulation projects using the latest distributed systems technologies.
• Design and implement algorithms using C++, Python, or Rust.
• Collaborate with international customers and engineering teams on advanced ML solutions.
• Contribute to low-latency architectures and high-performance computing environments.
• Operate as a senior individual contributor, driving technical excellence across projects.

• MSc or PhD in Mathematics, Physics, or another highly mathematical discipline.
• 3+ years of commercial or research experience in machine learning modelling and simulation.
• Strong understanding of accelerator hardware platforms such as GPUs, QPUs, or similar technologies.
• Experience with tools and frameworks including CUDA and TensorFlow.
• Strong software development and algorithm design skills using C++, Python, or Rust.
• Experience with low-latency distributed systems and PCIe technologies is highly desirable.

• Salary of £80,000–£120,000 depending on experience.
