As a Principal Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across multiple programmes, shape design methodologies, and work closely with customers to support both project delivery and future business opportunities. You will also play a key role in developing standards, mentoring engineers, and promoting best practices across the engineering function.

Key Responsibilities

• Define system architectures and establish design methodologies for advanced power electronics systems.
• Lead the development of control strategies, EMC compliance, and functional safety activities.
• Provide technical leadership across complex engineering programmes.
• Build strong customer relationships and support business development activities.
• Develop technical standards, engineering tools, and best practices.
• Mentor engineers and drive a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Strong experience in the design and delivery of power electronics systems.
• Expertise in control systems, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and multi-domain simulation.
• Proven experience leading complex technical programmes.
• Background in safety-critical systems and hardware validation.
• Degree-qualified with significant relevant industry experience.
